Transferrin TIA

Intended Use

Good Biotech Corp. Transferrin TIA (REF: KT-0105-A) is intended to be used for the quantitative determination of transferrin in human serum by turbidimetric immunoassay (TIA). Measurement of transferrin levels aids in the diagnosis of malnutrition, acute inflammation, infection, and red blood cell disorders, such as iron deficiency anemia.
For In Vitro Diagnostic Use.

Features

The one and only IgY-based Human Transferrin immunoassay in the world.
Applicable for general clinical chemistry analyzers.
Ready-to-use reagent.
No sample dilution in ordinary assay range (0~700 mg/dl).
No Hook effect up to 2000 mg/dl.
Detection limit: < 10 mg/dl.

Performance Characteristics

The following performance data were obtained using Hitachi 911 (7070) analyzer and the suggested parameter setting (sample/R1/R2= 2/270/35).

Detection limit: < 10 mg/dl
The detection limit represents the lowest measurable transferrin concentration that can be distinguished from zero.  It is calculated as the mean plus two standard deviation of 10 replicates of the normal saline.

Reagent Components / Package

Reagent:
Reagent 1 (R 1): Reactive buffer solution. 2 × 55 ml (400 tests)
Reagent 2 (R 2): Antibody solution.
Solution of duck anti-transferrin antibody. 2 × 7 ml (400 tests)
Calibrator set:
Transferrin Calibrator Set (REF: CA-0105-A) 6 conc. × 1 ml
Level 1 is the phosphate buffer and levels 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 contain human serum with assigned value for the specific serum protein transferrin.
Controls:
Transferrin Control Level L (REF: CL-0105-A) 1 × 1 ml
Transferrin Control Level M (REF: CL-0105-B) 1 × 1 ml
Transferrin Control Level H (REF: CL-0105-C) 1 × 1 ml
Each control contains human serum with assigned value for the specific serum protein transferrin.
